Invest In Your Saber 2026 - 2027
Invest In Your Saber (IIYS) is the Sunset Middle School PTO's primary fundraiser and helps fund educational programs, student experiences, technology, teacher support, campus improvements, and school enhancements that are not covered by Williamson County Schools. Every dollar donated directly benefits our students, teachers, and school community. Our goal is $50,000, and while a gift of $250 per family makes a significant impact, donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. Every contributing family becomes a PTO member and gains access to the SMS Family Directory. Together, we can continue providing opportunities, resources, and experiences that help make Sunset Middle School an exceptional place to learn and grow.

We're thrilled to share some significant investments made recently to benefit our students and staff in the 2025-2026 school year! These improvements reflect our commitment to providing the best possible environment for learning and working. Additional purchases can be found at PTO Purchases.
What We've Done and Where We're Headed
What Your Donations Funded Last Year
Because of the generosity of our Sunset families, the PTO was able to provide:
- New outdoor school signage
- ScoreVision signage and technology for academic and school use
- Classroom funding to bridge gaps not covered by Williamson County Schools
- Teacher classroom enhancement funds for every teacher
- Band equipment and music program support
- Updated robotics classroom supplies
- PE equipment for all students to enjoy throughout the year
- Art supplies and educational materials
- Campus landscaping and beautification projects
- PBIS student incentive programs
- Teacher appreciation events and recognition
- School-wide events and student activities
- 8th Grade Promotion Breakfast and Graduation celebrations
- Ongoing community-building activities that support school spirit and student morale
- Miscellaneous teacher requests to enhance learning and classroom engagement
Investments Planned for 2026–2027
With your continued support, the PTO hopes to fund:
- Computer lab window wraps for classroom privacy.
- Cafeteria enhancements
- Improvements to student community spaces throughout the school
- Additional classroom and cafeteria furniture
- Outdoor awning/shade structure for the student incentive lunch area
- Hallway enhancements including better functioning trophy cases
- Landscaping improvements, including concrete work near the car line and seasonal flower plantings around campus
- Williamson County Schools mows the grass; all other landscaping and beautification efforts are funded by the PTO.
- Teacher wish list items and classroom resources
- Interior painting and facility enhancements
- Additional visual improvements and school branding
- Teacher appreciation lunches
- Student rewards and incentive programs

Double Your Donation with a Matching gift!
What is a corporate matching donation? A corporate matching donation, or matching gift, is when an employer matches an employee's non-profit donation, often equal to or greater than the employee’s donation amount. A matching gift is a great way for a donor to increase their contribution to Invest In Your Saber. Sunset Middle School PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The matching gift process differs from company to company. Please check with your employer’s HR or Benefits department and verify if they offer a matching program. Some require a completed paper acknowledgment form, while others use an online system such as Benevity or Cybergrants.

If you need verification or a signature from the PTO, simply send the paperwork in to the school office with a note for the PTO.
