Invest In Your Saber 2023 - 2024

The Invest In Your Saber (IIYS) campaign funds additional academic, technological and athletic purchases not funded by Williamson County. The school and the PTO rely on these tax-deductible donations to enhance your child’s learning environment. This is the PRIMARY fundraiser for the PTO. 

Our 2023-2024 IIYS campaign goal is $45,000. While an investment of $150 per family (which is less than $1/day to support our school) will have the greatest impact, ANY DONATION AMOUNT will be greatly appreciated! Every Sunset MS family who contributes to the IIYS fundraising campaign becomes a member of the PTO – no separate dues to pay, and gains access to the SMS Family Directory, through the PTO website.

The SMS PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, your donation is tax-deductible and many employers will match your donation. We have included a list below with some of the companies that have provided matching or partial donations in past years.

• Replacement of SIX of our twenty three Box Lights (Smart Boards) in classrooms
• Supplies for PBIS celebrations
• Monthly Teacher Appreciation
• TCAP snacks
• Benches outside Front Office and 8th Grade Hallway 
• Staff Holiday party and holiday gifts
• Benches for outside Performing Arts Center
• Murals throughout building
• 8th Grade Promotion and Picnic
• Campus beautification (any landscaping aside from mowing)

What is a corporate matching donation? A corporate matching donation, or matching gift, is when an employer matches an employee's non-profit donation, often equal to or greater than the employee’s donation amount. A matching gift is a great way for a donor to increase their contribution to Invest In Your Saber. Sunset Middle School PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

The matching gift process differs from company to company. Please check with your employer’s HR or Benefits department and verify if they offer a matching program. Some require a completed paper acknowledgment form, while others use an online system such as Benevity or Cybergrants.

If you need a copy of your Invest In Your Saber receipt, you may access it any time by logging in to the PTO's website and clicking on PREVIOUS ORDERS in the top right corner.
